Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra coming to Segerstrom Center for the Arts



The world renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by legendary, Grammy award wining trumpeter Wynton Maarsalis will thrill jazz fans with an extraordinary evening of music at Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall on January 21 at 8pm.


Featuring 15 of jazz music’s leading musicians, the band tours the world performing a vast repertoire of music, including everything from historic and rare compositions to works by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fletcher Henderson, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie as well as new music from the group’s unrivalled collection of world-renowned composers and arrangers.


As an extra special treat for concert attendees, the Orange CountySchool of the Arts’ Ambassador Jazz Orchestra will perform in the Concert Hall Lobby beginning at 7pm. Two great bands, the present and the future of jazz, in a special night of swing!
