LA Art Show Opens January 19, 2022



The LA Art Show will kick off LA’s 2022 art season at the LA Convention Center with a gala Opening Night Premiere, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on January 19, 2022.


The most comprehensive international contemporary art show in America leads the way with innovative programming and one-of-a-kind experiences for LA’s expanding, multi-cultural, collecting audience. With over 80 galleries, museums, and non-profit arts organizations from around the world, guests will enjoy an unparalleled international art experience.


The show offers an extraordinary array of works and experiences in specialized sections including:


MODERN + CONTEMPORARY; The largest section of programming exhibiting the vast spectrum of contemporary painting, illustration, sculpture and more from galleries in Los Angeles, the pacific Rim and countries around the world.


DIVERSEartLA; Curated by Marisa Caichiolo, will examine not just how the environment is represented in art, but how humanity’s place in the world is depicted. This exhibition will open up an important dialogue about the Earth’s past, present, and future, uniting the community around discussions of the global climate crisis and potential solutions.


EUROPEAN PAVILION; Dedicated to European galleries from Spain, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Denmark. This section showcases curated exhibits highlighting various contemporary movements and stylistic developments.


FEATURED EXHIBITIONS; expanding beyond the confines of booth spaces, featured exhibitions create immersive experiences to engage audiences through thought-provoking artworks, performances and other exhibitions offered by participating galleries.


ROOTS; Honoring the voices and movements that came before, Roots is a dedicated space for galleries that showcase historical works and contemporary artists following in those traditions.



PROJECT SPACE; Exhibitors in Project Space showcase a broad array of ideas and talents in the form of solo exhibitions, presented by participating galleries.


WORKS ON PAPER; This space is dedicated for showcasing photographs and other work not on traditional canvas.
